The Y-word

There are loads of people who don't even know the background to the word and just see it as a Spurs thing, the same way they would associate Gooner with Arsenal.
But then it would feel wrong if a non-Jewish Spurs fan could tell a Jewish Chelsea fan that they're allowed to use it because the word's lost its meaning. They're not the ones to have that right in that scenario.
My personal view is, I don't use the word cos I don't feel I need to and it'll always feel uncomfortable to do so, but I think it should be appreciated that the majority of people who do use it, don't mean it in its original term.
However, we do also know there's a large minority amongst our fanbase who will and do use it as more than just a way of insulting Spurs fans, and that's why they'll always be a problem.
