If he’s stupid enough to say ‘play me or lose me’ then he’ll never be good enough for the likes of Real or even Bayern for that matter. There are ways of introducing kids into the first team and I think it’s being done the right way at the moment.

I wouldn’t expect to see both Willian and Pedro here next season because of their flaws and ages but to suggest they offer nothing is unfair and incorrect. I’d be happy to see Pedro stay and for youngsters to prove they’re good enough to play ahead of someone who’s done everything there is at the very highest level and has the medals in the cabinet to prove it.

You’re romanticising how good CHO is because he’s had a decent game against an average Championship side and because fans are so desperate for a young player to break through that they lose all sense of reality and perspective. It can’t be forced and I don’t know why fans continually think it’s as simple as just shoving them into the side and just expecting them to be good enough consistently for a team at our level. It’s one thing doing ok in these early domestic cup/Europa games but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to play every single game, week in week out. If he’s not playing more than what he is in 18 months time then that’s a different story, but there’s no reason to think that won’t be the case, if he’s as good as we hope/think he is/can be.
