Where do people stand on his tweets? My twitter TL has gone mental. Now The Sun have gone for Lineker with their front page, calling for him to be sacked for his comments.
I liked him until his Twitter account.
Think of him as a arrogant smug prick now.

What has he said, if you don't mind condensing it for the lazy amongst us
I don't know if the Sun has a specific beef with him about something, but he's not actually said anything outrageous - just expressed a typically liberal sided view that people will either agree or disagree with - and he even says 'by some' so he's not in anyway having a go at everyone or even anyone in specific - a total non story (hence my suspicion the sun have been waiting to have a go at him for some reason)

I honestly think anyone who still reads The Sun is a halfwit, regardless of wether you agree with Lineker or not, this is still a democracy with freedom of speech and he is perfectly entitled to voice a personal opinion and as he has put it out there in the public domain, anyone who disagrees with him is perfectly entitled to tell him they disagree, as soon as you start calling for his head or insulting him then you prove yourself to be a moron who does not deserve the freedoms we enjoy.
