Imam there noticed the bombers Isis sympathies and said nothing, now talking about concern of islamophobia!
Only concerned for themselves. 5th column.
I agree with you there. Any Muslim leader, or indeed anyone at all, who has good reason to suspect that someone they know has sympathies with Islamic extremists, should be reporting that
And they don't because they live in enclaves, and their loyalty is not to this country.
That is the case in certain instances, but the key is, how do you find out who falls into that bracket and who doesn't? Because it certainly seems that there's more who don't, than those who do
You first stop making the problem worse,
Also agree, however the ways to stop making the problem worse are up for debate
They don't include pretending there isn't a problem, and suggesting we carry on as before.
It's hard to carry on as before if it's your children that have been blown up or dismembered.
Remember, children were deliberately targeted.
Yes but families of victims of Islamic terror attacks have spoken out against anti-Muslim groups and individuals. There's a difference between pretending fervent, anti-West sentiment doesn't exist amongst Muslims and tarring all of them with the same brush.
There's a difference between not allowing them to ruin our way of life and pretending Islamic extremism doesn't exist.
There is work to done to combat terrorism in this country every single day.
Who said anything about being anti Muslim?
Our way of life has already been changed for the worse, and I've had enough of it.
Because so many people who do speak out, are anti-Muslim. Perhaps if bellends like Katie Hopkins and Tommy Lennon could stop providing their own delightful solutions on how to stop terrorism, it'd be easier to have grown-up debates about it and perhaps more people would feel more comfortable with voicing certain opinions.
But one thing I have to say is that given how many times I hear how people are afraid to speak up, it's amazing how many people I do actually see and hear speaking up!
Like you, I want to live in a country where kids arent blown up by maniacs who despise the very place they were born and raised in. But I think it's important to have perspective and to be realistic about what can be done to stop individuals from doing horrific things.
You might not agree with them but they're just as entitled to a view as you are.
I don't know tommy Lennon though.
People have been afraid for years because radical leftists call everyone racists. We're now at the point where the insult means nothing. That said, the politicians don't speak honestly about it, it's all love trumps hate and light some candles.
It's bollocks.
They are entitled to their opinions of course, though obviously if they break the law and keep peddling hate and fear, then I can and will argue against it vehemently. The same way I'd argue with any extremist.
I don't know how many people are afraid to say anything, I hear plenty of people saying whatever they like on a regular basis!
Who gets to decide what constitutes hate? You I suppose!
The law is a good place to start
So other people with an agenda. No thanks.
Freedom of speech is the foundation of our civilisation.
If we have complete freedom of speech with no legal restrictions on that whatsoever, it means hate preachers can say whatever they want and we then can't do anything about it?
previously immigration was an unwelcome intrusion, but Blairs Vision Of A Brighter Britain gave "equal" rights to all, at which point the native was immediately on the defensive and back foot, because he had something to complain about and was then perceived "unenlightened" or worse
a heinous social imbalance created by what turns out to be a slave to the fascist christian fundamentalist war mongers of america
so yes, stop immigration, expel anybody preaching religious or political hate, a few heads on traitors gate wouldn't go amiss
Immigration was an unwelcome intrusion, according to who?
How far back do you go to class someone a 'native'?
You want to stop hate by beheading people, I suppose these would be beheadings carried out in an act of love?
Places like that already exist............run by muslims funnily enough!
Indeed, places like Saudi Arabia who are on the West's good list!
The last thing I'd ever want is to live in a place like that.
I'm no fan, never have been.
But nice attempt at singling just one place out.
I single it out because it sickens me that we cosy up to them in the way we do, and more pertinently, for the reasons we do cosy up to them.
There's one way we can help try and improve things, sever ties with a country like that until they have shown themselves to be civilised.
It's about Iran, and the threat of them getting nuclear weapons with the money Barry soetoro gave them.
I despise there dark age backward religion.
