If it really is that offensive to Jewish people overall, then by all means try and get people to stop using it, but the big clampdown has to come from the Spuds. I live in an area where they have strong support and virtually all the ones I know like the "Yid army 4 life" Facebook page, and there are plenty of others. Yesterday in Enfield I saw a car where the number plate had a Tottenham badge on it and the last 3 letters were "YDS"

There are loads of people who don't even know the background to the word and just see it as a Spurs thing, the same way they would associate Gooner with Arsenal.
But then it would feel wrong if a non-Jewish Spurs fan could tell a Jewish Chelsea fan that they're allowed to use it because the word's lost its meaning. They're not the ones to have that right in that scenario.
My personal view is, I don't use the word cos I don't feel I need to and it'll always feel uncomfortable to do so, but I think it should be appreciated that the majority of people who do use it, don't mean it in its original term.
However, we do also know there's a large minority amongst our fanbase who will and do use it as more than just a way of insulting Spurs fans, and that's why they'll always be a problem.

Ultimately though, there wasn't a whole away end in Leicester insighting racial hatred was there? That's the point with this, it's all being taken out of context to a degree.

Why are Spurs not facing bans every week? Nothing sung on Saturday was meant as an insult, just using the word Spurs refer to themselves as as it rhymed.

As I say, the majority of people aren't saying it or using it that way.
But what doesn't help, is that we have fuckwits supporting us who unfortunately will and do undermine that argument.
