Battle of. 950 years ago today. History lesson over. carry on.
Speaking of which, presumably we can put this new ground malarkey to bed, we simply don't need it when the club is being run like this.
Every year we are hampered by our small ground we will fall further and further behind the other big clubs.
Any way the battle of SB was a good win for Harold Godwinson but fixture congestion and travel problems meant he lost 'the big fixture against the the team from France (Normandy) at Hastings a couple of weeks later. Thus ending the reign of Anglo Saxon kings in England
Yes I'm sure they'll be banging the door down trying to get in to watch a team coached by yet another interim manager.
Think you'll find Billy Smart charges less to watch his circus.
Just think, 60000 every fortnight and we could afford two Babas and two Alonsos!
How has what's happening with the team now got anything to do with having a smaller stadium
Arsenal fcked up by putting all their eggs in the Emirates basket a few years before TV revenue rendered matchday takings pretty much irrelevant. We could have zero people turn up to every game and we'd still be making more money than last season.
Not to mention, Roman and his cohorts still haven't given us any reason to believe they can be trusted whatsoever, far from it in fact.
Arsenal would've been ok if the directors did not look at it as there own personnel cash cow.
I've no reason to believe our owner and board would handle any renovation/move any better than Arsenal or West Ham's did theirs. They've already lied and tried pulling the wool over our eyes as it is.
Went on the stadium tour yesterday and a chap asked about the stadium etc. The response was "Roman would never try and move us" The tour guide seemed a bit nervous when I said about him giving it a bit of a go.
It was when the tour guide said "just trust us"* that it became a bit of a concern.

I also didn't trust him when we discussed cup allocations and he said he would prefer we didn't get a big allocation until the pikeys up their security.
