I'm more gutted that in my view we've mismanaged our younger talent. Chalobah went for a song, I rate Baker and whilst the sake fee was decent he's got something about him.
We're thin on the ground and a couple of injuries/suspensions away from a weak bench.
The incoming players have looked decent signings. More worried about succession planning and our internal talent management.
Makes you wonder who really makes the decisions....
My only real fear is the forward line.
Zappacosta, Dave and Rudiger can play left or right side so some good versatility there. Drinkwater is decent cover or even an alternative in some games.
Last season we rode our luck up top regarding injuries/bans and got lucky. Now we have more games to deal with it just won't be done this time. Perhaps a loan is on the cards. ..that's where I think we will go - we have to!

It's not the falling out that is the problem, it's not doing a deal when they all knew last season there would be no Costa this time. Fcuk me even Andy Carroll would have done!!!
I'll never understand why any club would wait until now to do their business.
This is where the money plays a huge part...the business side of football becomes part of the entertainment.
Even if it was, he'd take a season to get fit! It took him half a season to get fit after coming back a week late in 2015/16 so god knows what state he is in after partying for 3 months in Brazil this time.
