Was on shift all day. Can I have some analysis, please?
Pedro and Giroud as poor as Twitter suggests?
Bit like some of the games at the start of the season, started ok but never looked like scoring in a million years for the last hour or so. Shows how important Tammy has become to how we play. Think we missed Azpi as well to give us a bit of oomph.
Playing without a striker for 20 minutes made no sense. We played right into their hands. Very slow and sloppy in possession.
Lots of shit performances all round, maybe a mixture of tiredness in those who had played a lot and lack of match fitness in those who hadn’t.
Lots of below par performances, probably worst overall performance of the season so far.
Giroud was surprisingly not interested but, not the only one by any stretch.
Giroud surprised me: still being picked by France and thought he might've done better
Started well for first 20 mins, then got increasingly poor.
Giroud anonymous, as was our defending, although he got little service. Looked like someone who not only knows he’s off, but where to, from his demeanour.
Jorginho had a bit of an off day and Mount was pretty ineffectual as well.
Willian added a little bit when he came on, but he was also quite wasteful, CHO too busy showboating to do anything useful.
Lampard made poor choices today and the team weren’t good enough - West Ham worthy winners and should have won by more to be honest.
Need to buck up our ideas for Weds.
Reece James probably the only positive for me, along with Kepa who made some excellent saves after getting some stick recently.
Yeah think you pretty much nailed it there Stan.
Thank you.
Personally I'm a bit disgruntled that Southgate / England picked Mount / Tammy / Tomori - I want them fresh for Chelsea FC and not getting burnt out
Mount’s been poor the last few weeks, didn’t he get an ankle injury around then? It’s showing tbh.
Both games v Valencia he was targeted imo.
