I predict now that in the eyes of many Frank WON'T fail, he will be failed by others/circumstance. No other manager/person will ever get such freedom from the fans as a Chelsea manager.

I will cut Frank due slack but not because he's a Chelsea legend. I offer all managers the same if I can see something happening. All things considered, Frank has one season to impress me he can do a job. That doesn't mean winning something, it means heading somewhere. Sarri won my support because he took us from a team happy to play off the ball to a team that wanted the ball...backed in a transfer window I think he would have progressed - and then the ban came and he was lured elsewhere.

Far from easy for Lampard to succeed but he's started by surrounding himself with a trusted team which he will need as the media/pundits look to dismantle him at the first sight of poor form. The difference - unlike with Sarri, the Chelsea support won't be getting into bed with the clubs knockers this time.
